The will of John Byron Wilkes of India (alias John Wilkes Booth) is an important evidentiary source for the Neff-Guttridge conclusion in Dark Union: The Secret Web of Profiteers, Politicians, and Booth Conspirators That Led to Lincoln's Death that John Wilkes Booth escaped and thus avoided retribution for the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. A PDF of a certified copy of the will, which is found in the file of Samuel Baysinger in the probate records of Brazil, Clay County, Indiana, is provided below.
