Provides to eligible clients:

  • Testing and assembling information from other appropriate people/offices
  • Personal assistant
  • Note takers
  • Assistive technology
  • Training people for mobility
  • Technology applications trainers
  • Interpreters
  • Specialty tutors


Provides:

  • Advocacy
  • Testing - takes about sixty days - need to apply to S S I - is determined by Vocational Rehabilitation - in consultation with physicians, educators, etc.
  • Career counseling - must have a vocational goal to write up a plan for training
  • Training - assist getting into school, etc. proved services over and above what others need to go to school such as note takers, interpreters, etc.
  • Referrals - to other agencies and institutions as needed
  • Resources - refer to sources such as insurance, etc. as well as their own resources
  • Assistive technology - have rehabilitation engineers who assess person and they provide equipment, training, etc.
