Database Orientation: Article Index Databases

Note that very few databases provide online full-text acesss to all articles in that database. If you don't see a link to full-text, then the full text is not available in that database.

Other databases may not provide any online full-text access to articles. These article index databases provide only a summary of an article or maybe even just a citation to it.

Some databases have links within each article citation that will automatically search the library catalog or our e-journal list to see if we have print or online access to that article. See the ProQuest example below.

EBSCOhost databases also have an interlibrary loan link for quick ordering of materials that ISU does not have access to.
